12th March 2010 -- If you've seen the rumours circulating regarding my present state of health then I regret to say they're probably true. I’d like to thank all the people who have offered me their support over the last few difficult weeks. I greatly appreciate it. From the bottom of my heart, I THANK YOU.
Barry J House writes speculative fiction: from SF to horror. His science fiction tales are sometimes dark, sometimes humorous, while his horror stories are mainly psychological, occasionally gory. He has been a fan of the genre from the moment he first saw the film Forbidden Planet on TV at the tender age of six or seven.
Barry was born and bred in Hampshire, England, and there is a strong family rumour that he is a descendant of the Dorset poet, William Barnes, so he believes that it was inevitable he would start writing seriously, one day. In recent years, his stories have been published in speculative fiction magazines/anthologies on both sides of the Atlantic. Barry is a member of the Horror Writers Association.
A collection of his short speculative fiction tales Obsidian Dreams is also scheduled for publication. Click here to read a story example
